Summary:
The Medical Receptionist role performs a variety of duties in order to support the medical staff and our patients at Integrated Health of Southern Illinois.
The position requires excellent customer service skills with patients and a desire to be a team player.
Individual must be flexible, organized and able to manage a demanding workload with accuracy.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Welcomes and greats patients and visitors, answers telephone, responds to inquiries, directs callers to appropriate personnel, or initiates a task for response by medical personnel.
Handling correspondence and file transfers such as the inflow and outflow of information by assisting with scans and fax.
Obtains patient demographic and verifies information at each visit.
Obtains necessary patient information to meet current Federal guidelines and Meaningful Use guidelines for electronic medical records.
Collecting Co-payment or balances owed by cash check or card.
Entering visit charges into EHR per Providers Routing Sheet.
Scheduling follow-up appointments.
Obtaining patient authorization for medical records release (HIPAA compliance).
Identifying and resolving minor patient billing complaints.
Maintaining cleanliness of waiting rooms and entrances.
Assists other teams, customer service, scheduling as needed.
Ensures an efficient and professional standard is maintained at all times Meets or exceeds organizational goals set forth.
Other duties assigned by Manager.

Monday-Friday with ability to work shifts during the hours of 7:

Education &
Experience:
1 Year Medical Receptionist preferred High School Diploma Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
